Insulating Fire Bricks

Insulating Fire Bricks (IFBs)

We manufacture high quality Insulation Bricks from top grade Refractory Materials. Each lot is manufactured using high quality tested raw materials, fired efficiently under strict quality control and proven production technology to maintain consistency. It is sometimes referred to as “refractory brick” and is designed to withstand temperatures ranging from 1250°C to 1650°C , while actually conducting very little of that heat in order to provide a greater level of energy efficiency.

Refractory Chauhan Group offers a wide range of insulation bricks, such as cold face, hot face, kyanite based, porosity bricks, ASTM Standard 23, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 32 insulation bricks, JIS classification series A, B, and C Insulation bricks etc..

Applications of Insulation Bricks :

  • Insulation in high-temperature environments such as kilns and furnaces
  • Lining in thermal processing equipment
  • Backup insulation behind dense refractories in furnaces
  • High-temperature kiln hot face and car backup in ceramic industries
  • furnace hot face and backup lining in heat treatment furnaces
  • Reactor backup lining in carbon black production
  • Primary reformer and hydrogen transfer lines backup, and secondary reformer cold face in fertilizer plants
  • Blast furnace stoves in the iron and steel industry
  • High-temperature air pre-heaters in power generation and waste incinerators
  • Backup lining for regenerator sidewalls, melter bottom and sidewalls, and tin bath roofs in glass manufacturing

Advantages of Insulation Bricks :

  • Light weight (60% less weight than conventional walling material)
  • Strong & durable - high Compressive strength
  • Excellent Thermal and Sound Insulation
  • Low water absorption of ~ 15%, thus minimal risk of dampness, cracks or shrinkage of walls
  • Non-susceptible to carbonation thus providing greater durability

Where you can use our Insulation Bricks?

  • Ceramic industry, including kilns for domestic and laboratory use
  • Glass industry
  • Hot Face and Backup insulation in industrial furnaces
  • Petrochemical heaters, flues, refining vessels and reactor chambers
  • Iron and steel industry, hot blast furnace stoves, hot blast main and bustle pipe, heat treatment and galvanizing furnaces
